 
| I used to costume several opera productions a year around LA until every single company I did business with did Madama Butterfly in the same year! Talk about burnout... But I still do one show a year for a friend of mine at a summer music festival at the Redland's Bowl, a beautiful outdoor amphitheater.These shows are more art direction and costume coordination; mostly made up of rentals with sewing only happening if I can't find what I want some other way. Still it is a fun exercise and the venue presents some interesting challenges. The audience is quite far away from the stage and there are only two lighting towers. So for these shows I get to indulge in more of my magpie nature and sparkle things up a bit - I call it Opera Goes Vegas and it's great fun.
